Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Rust Engineer to join our engineering team on site at our Austin, Texas location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable distributed systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust and efficient systems that meet the demands of our growing user base.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain distributed systems that are scalable, reliable, and efficient.

Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and data scientists to understand system requirements and deliver innovative solutions.

Optimize system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance system scalability and reliability.

Conduct performance testing and implement strategies to improve system performance.

Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of distributed systems.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our systems and processes.

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of experience writing production-grade Rust applications.
-
Strong background in systems architecture and design patterns for scalable, resilient applications.

Deep knowledge of distributed system architectures , including microservices, data consistency models, and messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, MQTT).

Strong understanding of low-level networking protocols, threading, asynchronous programming , and Rust concurrency models.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ML frameworks and techniques (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, training, data/model parallelism)

Knowledge of AI/ML model deployment and scaling.

Knowledge of security best practices for distributed systems.

Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
