Who we are
RustJobs.net is a job board for teams and professionals working with Rust. For privacy questions or requests, contact admin@rustjobs.net.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address, a password hash, account role, and session information. We never store your plain-text password. If you use Google Sign-In, Google provides the basic profile information needed to create your account, such as your email address and Google account identifier.
When you use the site, we may receive technical information such as IP address, browser type, request time, and security events. Job listing data may be collected from public employer career pages and other public sources; we use it to display job title, company, location, description, tags, and application links.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, show relevant Rust jobs, save applications or preferences, operate and improve the service, detect abuse, respond to support requests, and send account or password-reset emails. We do not sell personal information or use account data for targeted advertising.
Service providers
RustJobs.net is hosted on Cloudflare Workers and D1. We use Google for optional authentication and Resend to deliver transactional emails such as password-reset messages. These providers process only the information needed to provide their services and maintain their own privacy and security practices.
Job listings and external sites
RustJobs.net is not the employer and does not make hiring decisions. Application links may take you to an employer or applicant-tracking website. Once you leave RustJobs.net, that website controls its own data processing under its own privacy policy. Check the destination before submitting an application.
Cookies and security
We use an essential, secure session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We apply reasonable technical safeguards, including hashed passwords, expiring sessions, HTTPS, and rate-limited authentication flows; no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Retention and your choices
We keep account and application data while it is needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms. You may ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data by emailing admin@rustjobs.net. We may need to verify your request, and some records may be retained where legally required.
Children
RustJobs.net is intended for adults seeking employment and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above indicates when the latest version was published.
